FOSSE OF CAMÍ DELS CASALS
It is a Neolithic cist which dates back from 3,000 BC. This sepulchre is pointed from East to West next to the Casals Way, where GR 3 and ruta de les Mentides are, so it is often seen by the hikers walking on that area.
It was excavated by the team of the archaeologist Josep Castany in 1989 and some outstanding materials identified during the excavation are a rosary bead of calaite or variscite and parts of flint knives.
It was restored around seven years ago and it is preserved in good conditions. Two lateral slab stones, the closing and covering ones are preserved, both are made of ceramic and conglomerate. Their dimensions are 1.40m long and between 60 and 70 cm wide, their height varies between 85 and 90 cm.
The objects are exhibited at Museu Comarcal and Diocesà of Solsona.
