Bòfia’s pothole

To access it, we have to go to Coll de Jou and take the forest track leading to the Bacies meadow. We continue along the same track to the other side of the mountain and before descending, walking five km on the right, we will find the Bofia’s pothole, a deep natural well where the snow stays the whole year round. In the past, this ice was wrapped with dry alfalfa to Solsona’s ice well and transported as far as Barcelona. This activity stimulated the economic growth in the area. From this place we have magnificent views over the Coma valley. Following the same track we reach the Port del Comte ski resort.
