Church and castle of Castelltort

The Church of Sant Climent de Castelltort is a parish church located in the town of Guixers.

It’s known as Església Nova de Castelltort (New Church) because there was an earlier Romanesque hermitage from the 11th-12th centuries; currently this one is in ruins, where we also find the remains of Castelltort Castle. Currently, this place is not accessible due to the Llosa del Cavall reservoir.

This is a baroque edifice from the end of the 18th century, where there is the church and the rectory in the same building, which take up the biggest part of it. It has a bell tower, and in the western part, there is a cemetery.
