Sant Ponç reservoir

Several sports can be practiced at this reservoir. It is very pleasant to go on a long walk or on mountain bike on the path around the reservoir. You can also go on a kayak.

Sant Ponç reservoir is in the middle part of the Cardener river, originates from a dam located in the municipality of Clariana de Cardener, and extends into the municipalities of Olius and Navès in the centre of Solsonès and close to the Bages district. It is one of the several reservoirs built in the Llobregat river basin. It was constructed in 1949 and 1954, taking advantage of the narrower part of the river Cardener at the place of Sant Ponç church, on structural platforms deeply cut by the watercourse.
