La Baquiol Festival
June 24, 2024
La Baquiol is a festival to remember and honor Teresa Guardia, a bioscana who lived between the 18th and 19th centuries and died burned at the stake by her own neighbors. It is said that she was the last “witch” burned in Catalonia.
The festival, now in its fourth edition, features a circuit of exhibitions made by the town’s residents, a fair with booths from artists and craftsmen, workshops, a night show… And this year, it will also coincide with the presentation of the book La Baquiol, by the bioscana author Montserrat Cuadros Puig.
