Santuary of Pinós

Located 904 metres above sea level, the sanctuary has its origins in the construction of a chapel built by the Templers in 1312 that soon passed to the Hospitalers. The devotion of the population got more important after the year 1507 when Bernat Casas, from Matamargó, said that in on the way to Biosca, the Virgin Mary appared to him at the chapel. The original building has done several renovations and expansions works which are dated to the portal in 1642.
